The Hibiscus Hospice 2017 Art Exhibition and Sale is set to be a visually stunning event with around 300 works for sale or auction from more than 70 artists.  This includes over 20 new artists as well as favourites from previous years.  

Not only is there something to suit every taste, but there will be items to suit every pocket with works ranging from $20 to over $3,000.  Old favourites include Lisa Bindon, Sarah C, Pamela Cooper, Sonja Drake, Keith Grinter, Kairava Gullatz, Gloria Hodge, Rogan James, Donna Massey, Yana Meech and Murray Stuart. 

The event is in its 12th year and is run by the Hibiscus Hospice Women’s Committee.  Proceeds go towards Hibiscus Hospice so they can continue to be there for patients and their families.

Alongside works using oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels on paper, canvas and board, there will be works on oars, cork, perspex and steel. The exhibition will also feature ceramics for indoors and outdoors, prints, photography, glassware and jewellery.

The 12th annual art exhibition and sale is on from Friday June 2nd throughout Queen’s Birthday Weekend to Monday June 5th.  The exhibition opens with a ticketed preview and auction on the evening of Thursday 1st June. Tickets are available online or by phoning hospice (09) 421 9180.  Opening hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are 9.00am – 4pm and on Monday, 9.00am – 2pm. Entry on these days will be by gold coin donation with eftpos available.

The exhibition will be held at the Estuary Arts Centre, 214B Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa.
