Hibiscus Hospice is a specialist hospice and palliative care service which has been providing quality, professional and dedicated care to patients, carers and families for over 30 years. We are part of the wider Northern Hospice Alliance with Warkworth Wellsford and Hibiscus Hospice's, which provides further opportunities for growth and development.
The hospice is in a period of exciting growth and is developing services to meet the future needs of our community.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse you will work alongside other members of our multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist nursing care and support for patients, carers and their families.
You will be a Registered Nurse with experience in palliative care, oncology or district nursing who is passionate about working with palliative care patients, carers and their families.
While you will be working as part of a team, you will be expected to work autonomously as a practitioner within patient's homes and in other healthcare facilities.
You will have:
- A Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or desire to work towards the specialism of palliative care and with appropriate nursing experience required to fit the post
- Commitment to achieving PDRP Level 3 within 6 months of employment
- Experience in Palliative Care/Oncology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Right to work in New Zealand
