Registered Nurse - Community Palliative Care Team (Development Post)
Hibiscus Hospice is a specialist hospice and palliative care service which has been providing quality, professional and dedicated care to patients, carers and families for over 30 years. We are part of the wider Harbour Hospice with Hospice North Shore and Warkworth Wellsford Hospice, which provides further opportunities for growth and development.
The Hospice is in a period of exciting growth and is developing services to meet the future needs of our community.
About the Role
This role has been established to provide a career pathway for a motivated and passionate nurse who is interested in advancing their skills in community palliative care nursing.
As a Registered Nurse in our Community Palliative Care Team (CPC), you will be well trained, mentored and supported to provide specialist nursing care and support for patients, carers and their families in the community.
This role is 24 hours per week (0.6FTE).
You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience. You must have a genuine interest in palliative care and be willing to commit to undertaking post graduate studies within 12 months of employment.
You will also have:
- A current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Commitment to achieving PDRP Level 3 within 12 months of employment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current New Zealand Driver Licence
- Right to work in New Zealand
