Assistant Retail Services Manager

Part time – 32 hours per week
Based at Hospice North Shore or Hibiscus Hospice

About You

As an experienced retail professional, you will have proven experience proactively  leading large teams of staff and volunteers and be passionate about the world of second-hand goods. You will be have a flair for merchandising and be able to provide mentorship, support to our stores to create retail environments that are captivating, enticing and relevant.

You will also have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a retail environment
  • Demonstrated experience in visual merchandising
  • Experience of managing and leading highly functioning teams]
  • Role model and motivator
  • Successful track record in achieving retail financial targets
  • Ability to lead change
  • Highly organised, approachable and collaborative working style

About the Role

This position will assist our Retail Services Manager in overseeing the management and development of our 15 retail shops across the North Shore, Hibiscus and Warkworth Wellsford.  

The Assistant Retail Services Manager will also assist in all facets of store management, from providing guidance on visual merchandising to supporting, training and mentoring new and existing Retail Managers. You'll also work with volunteer services to ensure our volunteers are supported and trained.   The role will also be expected to provide cover in the stores from time to time.
