0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)

The Northern Hospice Alliance incorporates Hospice North Shore, Warkworth Wellsford Hospice and Hibiscus Hospice. Together we provide specialist palliative care services to patients and families living within our respective communities. The Alliance is committed to a forward thinking and innovative approach to service development and collaboration.

 

About the Role

The Community Engagement Manager role is a senior role within the fundraising team that will lead the Community Engagement Team to ensure key fundraising events and initiatives achieve year on year growth. The role has a strong focus on the wider community and a great deal of your time will be spent developing opportunities to increase business and community engagement.

This role is fast-paced and dynamic, within a fun and dedicated team. The role is yours to grow and develop. It requires someone with a strong sense of accountability, who is people-focused, energetic, well-organised and passionate.

You’ll play a key role in recruiting and managing event participants, You’ll also work closely to provide support to community fundraisers and deal with a range of suppliers, sponsors, volunteers and event staff to maximise all fundraising opportunities. No two days will be the same. It’s one of those jobs where you can shine, be creative and innovative and be recognized for your success.

About You

To secure this position you will need to have over three years account management, fundraising marketing or event management experience. You’ll be used to working as part of a wider team, although enjoy having your own areas that you can “champion” and take ownership of. It is essential that you’re familiar with the way modern fundraising is executed. You’ll love using cutting edge technology to drive event and fundraising success.

You will also have:
 

  • Relevant business and/or fundraising qualification
  • Experience managing and leading a successful team

  • Proven success in the execution of complex events and campaigns

  • Strong communication skills.
